    Random Tuesday Monkey Toasters

    randomtuesday

It's that time again! And even though everyone seems to be gone on vacation, Random Tuesdays haven't.

Well, it's here in spirit, anyway. Kind of phoning it in otherwise.

Have you heard of this term, Augmented Reality? I first encountered in a posting for a marketing job I was considering applying for. Then I read up on it. It sounds totally fucking soulless.

    So I applied. Natch.

I decided the Elmo cupcakes I made for my kid's birthday last year were too traumatizing (red food dye AND eating Elmo's face? PSYCHOLOGICAL DISASTER). So this year? BRAIN cupcakes.

(Keely puts aside more therapy money.)

I can't believe I'll be heading to New York in just over a week. EEEeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I can't believe some people selling their BlogHer tickets now are selling them for profit. EEEeeeeewwwwwwww.

Joss Whedon is directing the Avengers movie. There is not one single bad thing about that sentence. Except that it's not in the past tense, as in, "Joss Whedon directED the Avengers movie, and it's out now and I've seen it 23 times."

I may be a bit of a fangirl.

Someone once told me that to make something funnier, all you had to do was add monkeys or toasters. So, um, imagine this post with more monkeys and toasters, okay? Thanks.

I'm not sure I'd be game for the brain cupcakes....that's just me..

Joss Whedon rules!!! But Avengers? I don't know!
Augmented Reality? Hmmmm...perfect job advertisement! Good luck!

The brain cupcakes look creepy, but the Augmented Reality marketing job might be interesting!

I LOVE Joss Whedon! That is all.

I think people are thinking "Diana Rigg and Mr. Steed" Avengers, instead of the comic book Avengers. Joss Whedon totally rules. Ever since Dr. Horrible, I've been willing to have his baby. Except my shriveled up old uterus would never cooperate.

Wow selling BlogHer tickets for profit? Well congrats to the money makers, not sure what to make of the desperate folks willing to pay excess for this event.

The brain cupcake molds are great. When you are done with them do you want to send them down? The Boy has a birthday coming up right after X's.

Profiting on BlogHer...what is the world coming to? Oh right, capitalism. Moving along. Did you get the Moo cards?

And, I thought it was monkeys and robots.

    Much <3 for Joss Whedon.

Without the examples I would have never understood that concept.

And I did laugh at the monkeys and toasters reference. I have no idea why.

That augmented reality link? Made my head hurt. I don't need anyone messing with my already warped sense of reality, thanks.

Brain cupcakes? Ooooh. I'd want gelatin eyeballs in my punch, too, though.

    monkeys and toasters - hahahhahahha.

    July 27, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBrandy

Ummmm monkeys and toasters are kinda scary in my opinion. I'd rather have brains than Elmo too.

    July 27, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterAmyLK

Wasn't there a really terrible version of the Avengers in the late 90s? But, being that everything Joss Wheadon touches turns to gold, I'm betting this new one will be pretty amazing. And shiny.

    NYC or bust, baby!!!

Monkeys and toasters? OK I'll run with it. Have fun at BlogHer, so would like to go!

    Have a blast at BlogHer.

    Joss Wheadon rocks.

I'm with you on the monkey toasters. Just funny.

    A cupcake's a cupcake - I'll take some brain cupcakes!!!!

And your kids need to have some reason for therapy!!!
    Happy Tuesday!

It's okay, I fangirl of Joss Whedon too! :)

    Happy Tuesday!

I would have considered this post perfect. Except for the monkeys and toasters. Too many of those. Otherwise, a 10!

    July 27, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterSprite's Keeper

Yay to Monkeys and Toasters! :D

Happy Tuesday Keely and enjoy New York! :D

Theres some people I would like to feed those brain cupcakes and see if it made them smarter

    July 27, 2010 | Unregistered Commentershortmama

I never quite thought of the trauma of eating Elmo cupcakes. :)
Enjoy New York! Canada Post most definitely is a pain in the butt (saw the tweet on the right)...right now they are my enemy.

And...I've tried to link 3 times and it keeps disappearing. :( So if for some reason the 3 appear...oops, sorry.

I should add...it's been about 30 mins b/t each time I've tried to link. :(

Those brain cupcakes look substantial, way too much frosted goodness for little preschooler hands.

My husband showed me http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/engineering/robots/4337160" rel="nofollow">this article in his Popular Mechanics. It talks about augmented reality using nanobots...tinkering with your visual and auditory nerves. Your robot fear? Totally justified.

    A week. Yikes.

I want to bring brain cupcakes to work with me. Have fun in NY...take some monkeys and toasters.
