...this ensures that I am NOT at the gym. I am on the dance floor, shaking my tight size 8 (let's be realistic) ass, I am dancing perfectly choreographed moves with sequined drag queens as backup, I am NOT AT THE GYM. There is no guy that smells like vomit on the elliptical next to me, and I am not becoming hypnotized by the jiggly butt of the woman on the treadmill in front who really should not be wearing those hottie hot shorts. I am on the dance floor, I am hawtness itself, I am grooving all night long and laughing with friends.
And when the fat lady sings, I am down one more pound*. Go, team HASAY! See ya at the club, yo.
* Which puts me at 5 lbs below Christmas Disaster, which means I owe myself a new laptop bag.
(DISCLAIMER: I do not, in fact, ever go out dancing any more. I can't stay awake past 10. Also at this point I'm not sure anybody wants to see that. That doesn't stop me from being 19 in my head. Whatever works).

WTG at the 5lbs loss! I envy you because I know it is a lot of hard work. You should record yourself saying these things so you can listen to it while you're "not at the gym"
Eventually you will believe it!
Again wtg!
Love it!I'm going to have to steal that mix.
I'm 27 in my head. I will be until I'm dead and buried.
Awesome!
Oh oh, I have one to add that will make you shake your tail feather even more ferociously:
Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man"
Whether you care for the Agui or not, please trust me about the song... ALWAYS works for me at the gym (and in the confines of my living room)
:)
Hurray!
Hurray! 5 pounds is awesome... Love the mix--Some of those songs remind me of when I was 19 :) I think you're on to something--I just need to get a good mix of tunes, and voila... I'll be an exercise dancin' machine (or not...)
My five year old was fascinated by Hips Don't Lie when if first came on. He would stop whatever he was doing and stare off into space. Then we showed him the video and he stared at that. He makes me proud.
I am that woman who shouldn't be wearing those hoochie shorts.
Kidding! BIG UPS TO YOU on your progress.
I just started going to spinning class and it is kicking my ass. I might have already mentioned this. But you ride and ride and don't go anywhere. Weird.
Gym music is so important. I can't handle working out without it.
(And hips don't lie - you're so right)
Woo hoo, five lbs is such an accomplishment. Congrats on that and the new laptop bag! I'm linking you up on tomorrow's post.
"Eye of the Tiger" freakin' RAWKS!!!!
Great songs! :)
Congrats on getting past the holiday disaster. Your visualization techniques must be working. Although I'm a little concerned about the hungover guy on the elliptical, he could get hurt.
Pretty much anything by the Black Eyed Peas is fun to dance to.
Hey....can I borrow your tight size 8 ass for a few days???
I end up a heap of blubber on the floor when I try to dance. I look like a gyrating fool.
Good girl! I used to work for a doctor and he had a five lb bag of sugar in the exam rooms to show his patients just how much 5 lbs really is! Go check it out. You'll be surprised!
Way to go!!!
