I did (am doing) the reward plan as well. So far, I have gotten an ipod, new running shoes, heart monitor and some running socks. When I hit my next goal (which is still a month or 2 away) I am getting a running tattoo as a reward

I think your plan is totally legit, I'm actually trying to incorporate the no snacking rule, but it's tough with four kids running around waving their hot fries in my face and begging me to make tater tots.
