I should have known from the title of your post, but I was NOT prepared for that. (Shudder.)
Those traps work wonders. When they were new the kids would put their fingers in it to see if it hurt. Nope, didn't bother them. They didn't believe it would kill a mouse. The next morning they were quite surprised that it worked.
Glad you got your mouse. Hope his comrades stay away, for their sake and yours.

Happy that you are mouse free and can now rest easy. I tried the sticky paper trap once. BIG MISTAKE. I felt so bad for the poor little mouse, stuck and frightened. I tried to free him by running a little tap water into the trap to loosen the sticky paper. Poor plan,the damned mouse drowned.
I should have waited until after lunch to see this. Not during.
