I haven't written a post in a while that wasn't a meme, a theme, or an award acceptance. Because, well, I've been seriously lacking in inspiration. I have been a non-participant in Maternal Spark's Monday Muse for a while, not because I've been busy writing lists, but because I've been feeling totally without a muse.
And here is my shameful little secret - often, most of the time in fact, I need someone to give me an idea. Not just 'inspiration' - a friggin' IDEA. Even if said idea just becomes a launching point, I need somewhere to start. A project. A theme. A fully-formed, totally realized, clever-ass idea. I mean, it didn't even occur to me to start a blog until someone else said, "Hey, why don't you have a blog?". And look how THAT turned out.
Um...okay, wait, that's a bad example. Never mind.
Anyway, sometimes, when it comes to writing, I just go to a website like this one and GET an idea (oddly, there are far fewer websites that give you ideas for painting or developed concepts on which you can base your grad show in ceramics). Today, for instance, I pressed the button and got this:
"What's so great about being stiff? Write a story or memory whose title would contain the word 'starch.'"
What the...? Are you kidding me? You want me to write about...STARCH?
Okay, that sucks. I think I'm going to need more help than that.
Actually...fuck it. I'm going to go play video games.
Um...okay, wait, that's a bad example. Never mind.

i hate to say it but i'm glad i'm not the only one who has been uninspired. i didn't even do throwback thursday this week (although partly because of thanksgiving). i started writing a post for tomorrow and i scrapped the whole damned thing because it was just that bad!
Yeah, I usually need something to happen that's bloggable. And when it does, I just know it. Or I just do some hack thing. Whichever! LOL.
WOO! Video games! I just took a syringe full of honey, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice and shot it into the back my throat in a desperate attempt to burn away the searing pain. Not because of your starch story, just because my throat hurts and I read online that may help/
Starch? Yeah, that would be a hard topic to muse on. I don't think I've ever used starch in my life. I barely use the iron.
I think it must be going around. I've had a post in the works for a while, but I'm lacking the inspiration to write it.
The generator gave me this:

For me it usually is something someone says. Then I have to write it down quick or I forget. Makes driving in traffic interesting.

I have been completely devoid of ideas as well, so don't feel bad. I might resort to just posting pictures of all different kinds of dildos because people seem to love my dildo posts so much...sickos.

I have the opposite problem...my brain never stops thinking up ideas (some of them worse than others) and I often never follow them through. Here's to good ideas! And thanks for the linky poo :)
